Sani-Matic Inc. Unveils New Pharmaceutical GMP Washer Configured Design Offering at INTERPHEX 2018 in New York

  • New offering allows engineering firms, pharmaceutical manufacturers to quickly configure a fully defined PharmaCab SP Series cabinet washer

  • Multiple pre-engineered design options expedite the washer acquisition process—from bid package to installation

  • Configured designs and custom-engineered solutions meet latest ASME BPE Cabinet Washer Standards

MADISON, Wis., February 13, 2018—Sani-Matic, Inc. will introduce its new GMP cabinet washer configured design offering during INTERPHEX 2018.

The Madison, Wisconsin-based manufacturer of hygienic process cleaning equipment, components and provider of accompanying services for the pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage industries, will showcase the easy-to-specify PharmaCab SP Series on April 17-19, 2018, at the Javits Center, New York City, Booth 2133.

PharmaCab SP Series is easy to specify and quick to deliver

The new PharmaCab SP Series is an automated, ASME BPE-compliant cabinet washer for pharmaceutical processes using glassware, filter housings, dedusters, scoops, hoses, valves, graduated cylinders, gaskets, fittings, and other process parts that require a repeatable, validatable clean.

The pre-engineered PharmaCab SP Series design offering has three configurable models featuring different chamber dimensions: the SP333 (34”W x 34”D x 40”H), SP443 (48”W x 48”D x 40”H) and SP444 (48”W x 52”D x 48”H). The PharmaCab SP Series will be available following its launch at INTERPHEX.

The new offering allows engineering consultants and pharmaceutical manufacturers to quickly select options for a fully defined cabinet washer. The simplicity of developing a model to fit individual specifications expedites the washer acquisition process, from bid package proposal to installation and startup, shortening the order-to-delivery time by up to four weeks.

The PharmaCab SP Series easy-to-use model key builder is accompanied by a detailed technical datasheet defining all dimensions, volumes, utilities, components, features and options for a thorough product explanation.

“Our GMP washers and parts racks are known for their ASME BPE design and customization,” said Chris McNulty, director of key accounts, bio-pharm. “Now, with the new configured design offering, our washers are also easy and quick to acquire and integrate into your process.”

In addition to the new configured design offering, Sani-Matic continues to accommodate alternative design requests through its custom-engineered solutions.

A GMP Washer’s critical companion: 3-D custom-designed racks

Sani-Matic dedicates significant resources and attention to the engineering and manufacturing of custom, 3-D designed parts racks to ensure each process part is properly positioned on the rack for repeatable and validatable results.

“A well-designed rack is the necessary companion to the GMP washer to meet validation requirements,” said Pete Barrie, product manager. “Without exact parts placement and properly placed active sprays throughout the rack, the ability to meet the riboflavin requirements outlined in BPE is a challenge.”

Rack design for the PharmaCab SP Series starts with the development of a parts load list, part 3-D modeling, and preliminary rack design, which results in custom-designed racks and transfer carts that meet each process’s individual needs. Representatives will discuss the racks during INTERPHEX.

Sani-Matic cabinet washers meet latest ASME BPE Cabinet Washer Standards

The latest American Society of Mechanical Engineers Bioprocessing Equipment (ASME BPE) standards release added a new section on Cabinet Washers (SD 5.3.1), which outlines design standards for these systems. The new PharmaCab SP Series strictly adheres to these BPE requirements to ensure pharmaceutical manufacturers meet the latest industry regulations and achieve cleaning validation.

Sani-Matic Product Manager Pete Barrie and two other ASME BPE task group members will discuss the latest ASME BPE Cabinet Washer Standards in detail during the INTERPHEX Live panel discussion, April 18, 10:15 a.m.

Other Sani-Matic products spotlighted during INTERPHEX

At the booth, the company will also discuss its expanding hygienic components offering of directionally drilled spray ball assemblies, strainers and more, and demonstrate its compact, portable Clean-In-Place (CIP) System, the UltraFlow™ 45.
