Sani-Matic Inc. Expands Sales Team; Strengthens Support for Customers, Distributors and Manufacturer’s Reps
- Poised for continued growth, company adds Sales Engineers Sheridan, Riley and Purvis for West and Central Regions

MADISON, Wis., December 12, 2017—Sani-Matic, Inc., a Madison, WI-based manufacturer of sanitary process cleaning equipment, components and provider of accompanying services for the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, today announced it has expanded its sales team to include three new sales engineers for the company’s Central and West Regions.
The additions complete the dedicated, three-region sales engineer coverage strategy for the food and beverage industry, increase the bio-pharm sales bandwidth and allow the directors of key accounts to focus efforts on corporate relationship development.
“Our goal is to be easy to do business with,” said CEO Aaron Zell. “By growing our team of veteran sales engineers, we can meet that goal by providing faster, easier access to the process cleaning experts our customers, distributor network and manufacturer’s reps are seeking.”
Sheridan, Purvis and Mittnacht provide food and beverage industry sales coverage for West, Central and East Regions
The Sani-Matic sales engineers for the West, Central and East Regions have strong experience serving the food and beverage industries and a thorough understanding of the Sani-Matic product offering.
“Each new sales engineer brings solid industry experience to their role, which is accompanied by two months of dedicated training in the classroom, on the plant floor and with our service technicians prior to being introduced to distributors and customers,” said Bryan Downer, vice president of sales and marketing. “We are confident our new sales team members are ready to support our distributor network and customers on day one.”
Greg Sheridan, sales engineer for the West Region, joins Sani-Matic from JBT FoodTech where he served in roles from service manager to mechanical design and project engineer. Sheridan brings significant, firsthand food industry experience to his role and will be a strong resource for our distributors and customers.
Sheridan operates from his home office in Madera, Calif., and reports to Downer.
Chris Purvis, an 18-year sales veteran for the food and beverage industries, has assumed the role of sales engineer for the Central Region. Prior to joining Sani-Matic, Purvis was a sales engineer for AGC Heat Transfer. He also held sales engineer and regional sales manager roles for the PureServe Division at FCX Performance, Sprinkman and ITT.
Purvis works from his Noblesville, Ind. home office and reports to Downer.
Sales Engineer John Mittnacht continues to successfully support the East Region from his home office in Greensville, S.C. Over the past year he has worked closely with Sani-Matic’s distributors and customers to provide automated cleaning expertise and support.
Riley provides expanded bandwidth for bio-pharm sales
Sani-Matic has served the bio-pharm industry for nearly two decades and has seen significant growth over the past five years. In support of this growth, Sani-Matic has hired John Riley as bio-pharm sales engineer, West.
Riley joins Sani-Matic with several years’ experience serving the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries. He most recently worked for Koch Membrane and Central States Industrial (CSI) and will work closely with the bio-pharm team and designated manufacturer’s reps.
Riley operates from his Loomis, Calif. office and reports to Downer.
Sani-Matic also has redefined the equipment sales manager role held by Solo Yang. He continues to offer inside technical sales support for pharmaceutical, food and beverage applications, but is focusing his efforts on international and bio-pharm sales leads to address the growth in both areas.
Increased focus on corporate relationship development
The sales team additions allow Sani-Matic veterans Chris McNulty, director of key accounts, bio-pharm and Chad Dykstra, director of key accounts, food and beverage to increase their focus on developing and nurturing corporate relationships with key customers.
In addition to leading business initiatives for growth at a corporate level, each will continue to support the regional sales engineers for continuity across customer accounts.
