Trustwater AQ Series ECA Generator

A Cost-Efficient, Highly Effective, Non-Toxic Replacement for Traditional Chemical Processes

Electro-Chemical Activation (ECA) is the process of passing natural salt water through an electrolytic cell, creating two distinct solutions; an Ecasol ™ sanitizer and an Aversol ™ caustic detergent. The Ecasol ™ sanitizer is pH neutral and is comprised of hypochlorous acid (HOCl), which is 100 times more effective than Sodium Hypochlorite, the primary chemical used in traditional sanitizers. The Aversol ™ caustic detergent is produced at an alkaline pH of 13.5 and is a potent antioxidant. Both solutions are completely non-toxic and non-hazardous to humans and to the environment.

The patented Trustwater AQ Series is a self-contained, compact ECA generator capable of producing both the Ecasol ™ sanitizer and the Aversol ™ caustic detergent on-site, on-demand.

Why Choose a Trustwater ECA Generator?

  • ROI between 6-18 months
    • Eliminates cost of bulk chemical concentrates
    • Reduces water consumption-rinse steps reduced or eliminated
    • Reduces CIP cycle time-heating eliminated/rinses reduced
    • Reduces energy costs-solution effective at ambient temperatures

  • Eco-friendly, effective replacement for traditional sanitizers and detergents
    • Destroys all known pathogens
    • Non-toxic to humans and the environment
    • Reduces water and energy consumption
    • Letters of No Objection from USDA and FDA
    • Accepted by EPA

Trustwater AQ Series ECA Generator

A Cost-Efficient, Highly Effective, Non-Toxic Replacement for Traditional Chemical Processes

Flow-through Electrolytic Module
(FEM-9)

Generation Process

  1. Water with a hardness of less than 150ppm is fed into the AQ unit.
  2. The onboard RO removes minerals from the water, then sends it into the brine tank.
  3. The water is mixed with 99.9% pure salt in the brine tank creating a saline solution.
  4. The saline solution is then passed through the FEM-9 membrane, which creates an anode chamber and a cathode chamber.
  5. An electrical current is passed between the anode and cathode, generating two distinct concentrates; an Aversol ™ caustic detergent and an Ecasol ™ sanitizer.
  6. These concentrates are held in storage tanks awaiting dilution and dispensing into the CIP system.
  7. For a typical beverage installation, the Aversol dilution ratio is 1:100, while the Ecasol dilution is 1:25.
